TV-UNGOES-P is set to launch in 2010. It will be the last in an improved series of satellites that has helped forecast the development of severe weather for 35 years. Operated by NOAA and launched by NASA, GOES-P will continue providing critical data used for real-time weather prediction on Earth as well as space weather events, and search and rescue efforts.
