India is the place where amazing things happen. For example, while getting myself lost across the suburbs of Chennai, I came across the AVM production recording studio. "Open Sesame"! it really was. There wandering across the AVM grounds, I ended up in this studio to encounter non other than Mr. Shamba Shivam. It was also a great moment to be able to see what goes on inside a movie studio, the lights, the sounds and the screaming, real Tamil style.
In early September 2007, I was fortunate to attend the IATEFL/ELTAI conference in Chennai. I took a few days off before the conference to wander the streets of Chennai (Madras) - it was just amazing. In this iPod format video, you will be able to see a little about life on the streets of Chennai, the smiling and warm faces that have made this travel an memorable experience, and you will be able to know a little bit more about the do's and don'ts of traveling. I hope you enjoy this video as muc...
While wondering across the streets of Chennai, I came across this noisy temple. I took a peak inside, and was immediately invited to share this special event. Being a tourist with romantic perception of India, I automatically thought that this was a re-enactment of a part of the life of lord Shiva. It was only as I edited the video that I realised my error. How sweet it is to be lost in the unknown. I apologise in advance for my rudeness, I did not ask for your name. Please forgive me. Gratefu...
Recorded in Chennai (Madras), I was entranced by the charm of the place, its burning midday sun, and this refreshing tune played by Shankar Ganesh. I was very much not prepared to visit Chennai, living it very much to the spirit of the moment. I am glad I wasn't otherwise my heavy schedule might have not carried me to this temple and I would have missed this great opportunity to see something important; the Hindu renewal of marriage vows.
Ali'i Kula Lavender Farm is located on Waipoli Road, on the way to Haleakala mountain. It is a nice place to visit, have a Lavender coffee and relax. Amazing views.
Maui is a perfect place to relax. There are a lot of things to do and places to visit. So hire a car and take a ride along the Hana Road; on a clear day it will be breath taking. You may also want to visit Haleakala and some of the fine surfing/swimming beaches. This was certainly a memorable holiday; a perfect time to meet with friends.
Aoki Beach is located on the North Island of New Zealand. It is one hour's north from Wellington. Even in the late spring it is possible to swim and enjoy body surfing or a nice long walk on the beach at sunset. There are a few hotels at Aoki Beach so ask the friendly locals for some recommendation. - music from Don Quixote, Liquid Eyes, retrieved from ccMixter.
