Segment One: “Pinocchio: Story, Stage and Screen” is a six-month collaboration between the Minnesota Opera and Storyboard, a non-profit organization which teaches youth filmmaking skills and gives them the opportunity to work with professional filmmakers. In this project, high school students plan, shoot and edit short films inspired by the Pinocchio story. Access to Art correspondent Ashley Siebels talked with staff from Storyboard and the Minnesota Opera and with some of the youth participants as they went through the filmmaking process.
