Team driver Andrew Wojteczko finds turn 8 at Thunderhill to be rather unforgiving. The car was repaired and qualified 22nd only 24 hours and fifteen minutes later through the tireless efforts of GST Motorsports and the Wojteczko family.
Team MPME/Scion driver Gary Sheehan starts 22nd just two days after the car was barrel rolled in practice. In his opening stint Sheehan takes the car up to 8th overall and 5th in class in the longest endurance road race in the world. Kept alive and competitive by the GST Motorsports crew and racing on BFGoodrich R1 tires, it's an amazing drive to the front of the pack.
