Wednesday 19 September 2007 at the opening of the exhibition, Mothman and did a performance. He stood on a wooden bench with the illumination of a bright light from below. In his golden lycra attire, mesh wings and antenna protruding he places on his head a Perspex box. The piece was titled ‘Moth in a Box’. Fear in Garden Festival ... MOTHMAN and FUNKADEL...
The affray moved around the temples. I remembered my camera and quickly brought to my eye level and started to take photographs. I thought ‘No one will believe this!’ The fracas went on for at least ten minutes and then they noticed me. The two forgot about the other and launched in my direction. I turned quickly, stumbling and ran for dear life, trying to remember route. I got to the opening in the fence and squeezed through catching myself once again on the wire, but this time it cut my arm....
