It's also natural to ask yourself questions such as, "What did I do to cause this?" even though the majority of miscarriages have nothing to do with a mother's actions. And though it's difficult to talk about, miscarriages should be discussed because such a large number of women experience them; talking through the pain can often lead to a healthier recovery and less stigma.
