In this clip, students were trying to communicate with DPS, telling them that this is a peaceful protest and yes, HMB is in a lockdown. DPS was not directly clear and it was not till much later students found out about the bomb threat. DPS did not state to the students that there was a bomb threat.
Student Tara Holcomb explains how DPS assaulted her: She was standing saying "This is a peaceful protest" but the officer went ahead and grabbed and twisted her arm to get her out of the way. She says she saw other students being pushed, choked, and DPS threatened them with pepper spray in their faces. This also occurred on October 6, 2006 at HMB.
