In this work, the themes of my work shift from Memory, Possessions and Collecting’ towards the Sense of Belonging. The turning point came when I accompanied my grandmother on a trip to Lourdes, a place of Christian pilgrimage where millions travel every year in search of healing.
The ‘Summer Ball’ video was shown as part of my MA exhibition. It was screened on the opening night. The high-spirited behaviour of the students captured on video revealed the sociable interaction of university life. My screening of the video was in unusual contrast to that expected from prestigious and formal Slade openings.
