Medicinebleu Films

About this original series

This is a collection of film projects created by Pat McDonnell. Pat McDonnell is a freelance photographer and film maker. For the last ten years, he has worked seasonally at the Nantahala Outdoor Center as a photographer and whitewater raft guide. In 2001, McDonnell created Medicinebleu Films, specializing in documentary subjects that capture the spirit of ordinary people with big ideals and humble ambition. Styled as a lo-fi grassroots collective, Medicinebleu Films has taken McDonnell all over the world to shoot both stills and live action. With locales such as Nepal, Patagonia, and Ecuador, McDonnell's projects excell in capturing the enduring human spirit in some of the most impossible landscapes. He is a graduate of the school of Television, Film, and Recording Arts at Florida State University.
