mediasandbox.co.uk Shot at the Media Sandbox 2009 Ideas Lab, this story was made in response to a 'real question', posed by Richard Hull, HPLabs:What dimensions are valuable to people as they go about their everyday lives? How can those dimensions be sensed and presented? There are many dimensions to an individual's current situation, for example their location, who they are with, how many other people are around, what they are doing, what things they have with them, what time it is ... even the prevailing temperature, pollution and traffic levels. Some of these dimensions, such as location, could be sensed and presented to the individual. The time dimension already is (via a watch). So, the questions are which other dimensions of their current situation would be valuable to someone as they go about their everyday life, how would those dimensions be sensed and how presented? This is a question of immediate interest to our research group in HPLabs. We have technology (mediascapes - www.mscapers.com) that could be used to build prototypes and would be most interested in project proposals that looked at the non-technical aspects of value and presentation.Richard is also a Media Sandbox Industry Advisor: www.mediasandbox.co.uk/the-advisory-board/
