An eight-minute informational video created in 2001 for the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children. GoodStart is MSPCC's nationally recognized child abuse and neglect prevention program that helps parents raise children who are safe, healthy and ready to learn. Healthy Families Massachusetts is a statewide home visiting program available for first time parents age 20 and under, funded by the Children's Trust Fund. MSPCC is the lead agency providing Healthy Families services in Springfield, Holyoke, Worcester, Lawrence and Lowell. Through parent education, developmental screenings, parent support groups, and connections to community resources, Healthy Families helps young parents become more self-sufficient and raise children who are safe, healthy and ready to learn.
