As LIT's birthday celebration for William Shakespeare continues, Emily recites Antony's famous speech form Act III Scene ii of "Julius Caesar" while Roxanne and Jen manage to play a whole crowd of Roman plebeians.
In Red Square, several students perform an excerpt from one of Shakespeare's most well-known comedies, "A Midsummer Night's Dream." Act V, Scene i contains a play within a play, in which several local workers stage the story of Pyramus and Thisbe, while Theseu,s Lysander, Demetrius, Hippolyta,Helena, and Hermia watch. (If you're confused about who in the audience is speaking, since one actor is playing multiple parts, look for the signs!)

As part of Diversity Week, students celebrate the Indian festival of Holi in Red Square. A very vibrant and important Hindu festival which often takes place in March, Holi celebrates the triumph of good over evil and the arrival of Spring. The play of colors is one of the most popular rituals, enjoyed by adults and children alike.
