The actors in this film (Brad Pitt, Sean Penn) are wonderful and it has majestic music and cinematography regarding the story of the cosmos. However, that tale is far better told at the Rose Planetarium at the American Museum of Natural History. The audience on the night I saw the film seemed to like it; I didn't, and leaving the theater, I thought to myself: am I like the little Japanese boy who said, "But the emperor is naked?" Former New York City Mayor Ed Koch does his weekly take on new movies--from blockbusters to art films. His rating system is as plainspoken as his language. A "plus" for movies he likes, a "minus" for ones he doesn't. Watch and hear as the New Yorkiest of all New Yorkers tells it like it is. The Mayor at the Movies is a production of New York Insider TV.
