Burlesque (A Mayor Koch Review)

This is a movie dominated by Cher, who I love. She can do no wrong in my eyes. She's a great comedienne, actress, singer, dancer....and she performs superbly here. It has a funny, always interesting plot, which ultimately becomes one of a soap opera. Is Cher going to lose the burlesque house? Is a developer seeking to take advantage of her to build a high-rise building? It starts to become ridiculous, but nevertheless, I think it's still worth seeing, and I give it a plus.
