This performance featured loads of LEDS. A lot of fun was had by all. I was in costume as the Orgasmatron Communicator. I had an ipad in my pocket that I didn't realize had fallen out. An hour after I left the scene and got back to my house, I was looking for it when the phone rang, it was Lorayne saying, Are you missing something? Peter H. Rosen was experimenting with slow shutter photography, specifically photos taken after the sun goes down. This sequence was shot maybe an hour after sunset, it was quite dark already but not black of night. The secret is to use a shutter speed of about 1/10 second so you can get blur AND sharpness!
I have been shooting a lot of fibonacci number infused life forms and other algorithmic flowers and plants; obviously "grown" via mathematical formula. I was hoping a model would come by to help me make a photo. While waiting I shot these videos as practice with my Canon 60D. I am curious about the bugs, bees and nature in general. As it turns out, I may have caught on "film" a bad bug that burrows into trees and kills them. Stay tuned! BTW, the Piano is played by Peter H. Rosen improving on a theme called "Barnsdall Park" where the composition was conceived (on guitar).
I attended Interfaith Harmony Week at the United Nations because it was featuring Michael Beckwith from AGAPE spiritual ministries in LA. He's one of my favorite speakers and about the only minister of any church in any religion who has consistently connected me with divine Spirit in his most eloquent way. I was delighted after an hour-long bus ride into Manhattan from NJ and then a significant walk across town to the UN, to within moments of arriving, running into Michael quite by "accident."...
Andee and I shared a few solid years of time and space. She found me mornfully playing my recorder, whilst I sat on a Charles Street Stoop after a rain. I liked the way the sound reverberated off the slick surfaces. This woman came in on the wind, attracted to the sound of my playing. We connected as musicians, looking for love. I JUST HAD TO DOCUMENT MY HAVING TWO OF THESE AWESOME INSTRUMENTS. HOWEVER.....THE JOY WILL BE SHORT LIVED. There was a major screwup. Instead of receiving the guitar (ordered 9 Dec.2011) I was sent just a guitar bag/case in a box- but NO GUITAR, just the bag and invoice for the guitar. I was charged $199 for the missing guitar!
