Retro Rock Alternative Blues Pop Space Jam in 3D, weird but cool, freaky but fluffy, not naughty, not nice. The Lo-Fi Technicolor Dreamcoat Edition...... of sweeet streaming consciousness musing from guitar guru superfreek.....Mark Alan Dooley. Sweeping landscapes of emotional harmonies to heal and hope, to bump and grind, to rock and roll. "I have to strike a balance between trying to achieve perfection and capturing the happy accident". Mark started playing guitar at the tender age of 7 in Richmond, Kentucky after hearing the Beatles song "Revolution". He knew what he wanted to do from that point. "I had not heard distortion on a guitar till then and I loved it". The rest is a myst..I mean history!
An ambient chill piece. Puts me in the zone. The gizmo again comes through with a loop called "Udu Hop" I can do this beter but you get the idea.
Today's MAD Lab video guitar blog. Got a new gizmo, a Line 6 JM4 looper. This is my first vid with the beast, works great, got a lot more grooves left to Vblog, this is just the first! Sorry for the weird genuflections and faces, after all I'm just a goober :()
Aggressive entry for todays guitar VLOG from MAD Guitar Lab. I am annoyed. It shows! :-/ Benefit for you? This is smokin if I do say so meself. Self? I say so! So take a flyin flip...I DDDU!!!!!
Todays performance blog of "Victory". An instrumental version of a song on my "Under Heaven" CD. This recording is from one microphone in the room. Lousy vid quality abounds in the piece, but the spirit of the music shines through imperfection.
Another writing session of my video blog. I put a projector image on the wall and shut off the lights. End result is a smaller file! Less ancilliary numbers to crunch. In a way cheesy and weird, but I prefer creepy and cool. You heard it here first, cuz some of this stuff will be on the next album.
Workin it out PS upon further review...this is bad to the bone!
Director: MADCredits: Video Content by Zambari. Edited by MAD. JUI of kompoz.com on drums.Description: Airy acoustic with suggestive melodic movements. Spare instrumentation, but builds in layers of energy. I was going for a sound that suggested a journey, or vision quest. The title Northstar seemed to suggest a singular focal point, a glorious light to move toward, onward, upward, glory to glory to ultimate triumph.
Featuring Mark Miller of kompoz.com on drums. Video Content by Zambari. Aggressive, percussive rhythm acoustic guitar, with airy, but intense lead guitar melodies. Intense lead vocal. Underlying Theme - We can make catastrophic choices for ourselves. Nothing left to do but live with the consequences of our actions, assuming we survive at all. I survived, I am fortunate. MAD
