Many street kids in India opt to join the fair scene because its one of the only ways they can get work and earn a couple Ruppees. Most of them have lost their families or run away. Often times they don't enjoy the things they have to do, but have no other choice.

Eyes Wide Open: The Human Cost of War, a war casualties exhibition featuring a pair of combat boots for each of the U.S. military lives lost in Iraq — more than 2,300 to date — along with shoes that represent a small fraction of Iraqi civilian lives lost.
