I try Radiohead's "Faust Arp" on my Irish Bouzouki.
I play "Julia" by John Lennon on my Irish Bouzouki.
I play a shortened version of Led Zeppelin's "The Rain Song" on my Irish Bouzouki!
Transcription available at: http://imgur.com/NsH9t.jpg I play through the bass part for Jimi Hendrix's "Wind Cries Mary". Pretty easy, but I figured I'd try to get as many nuances as I could. The timing of the original is pretty laid back/sloppy, so don't worry too much about accuracy.
My version of RHCP's "Road Trippin'", on an Irish Bouzouki, and standup bass! Recorded for the Fleabass competition. Stadium-Arcadium.com member name: DaveGill
I play the bass part from "Wind Cries Mary", which I transcribed from the multitrack files, so it should be fairly accurate. On the record, Noel Redding's timing is very laid back- almost to the point of sloppiness. I don't try to imitate that.
I play the bass line from Elton John's "Grey Seal", off the Goodbye Yellow Brick Road album. Really cool line, it was fun transcribing and learning it.
A quick read through of a chorus to "Come Round Here (I'm the One You Need)" by Smokey Robinson, after which I improvise a line over the changes. It's played a little slower than the record- I didn't actually listen to the song until I was done (unwise!).
A song I wrote about a late night summer drive. A recorded version can be heard at myspace.com/mallsecurityissexualmagic
A song I wrote about exorcisms and/or love.
