Korea Peace Day was conceived by the Alliance Of Scholars Concerned About Korea, ASCK in 2003, in response to the high level of tension between the US and North Korea. Since then, educational forums have been held annually on campuses across the country to facilitate dialogues and bring an awareness of the unresolved conflict on the Korean Peninsula. The ASCK.org is dedicated to the promotion of mutual understanding between the people of the UNited States and the people of Korea, both North and South.
