Youth Stewardship Centre, Mahone Bay

A new Youth Stewardship Centre operates out of the Mahone Bay Centre and engages young people in learning about and caring for the earth. The woods behind the school, currently threatened by a proposed development, are a living lab and classroom. The excellent soccer field, which would also be lost if the development goes ahead, provides recreation for youth involved in the Youth Stewardship Centre as well as students at the South Shore Alternate School.
