In Magnolia 4.3, multi-site installations can automatically benefit from domain-based multi-client capabilities. Once a domain has been assigned to a site tree, only that part of the content structure will be shown to editors accessing a website that resides at the specified domain. To ensure an integrated browsing experience, URLs will be adapted seamlessly by Magnolia CMS to always reflect the domain.Additionally, site configurations can be extended easily. No longer will administrators have to copy a site or dialog configuration in order to customize it. Instead, the new mechanism allows to extend existing configuration elements. A configuration can simply contain a link to the master configuration and add or overwrite any property as needed. This avoids duplication and immediately makes clear which changes have been applied. It thus significantly lowers maintenance effort of any web site built with Magnolia CMS.
