Videotastic machinimizing, when ripe.
This teaser was produced to start promotion of the "Mad Science Film Festival 2008". The festival will be held in Second Life, on Martian Invasion Day. It is the Age of Steam. An inventor envisions a future of robots driven by electricity. Tragically, war prevents him from realizing his vision. In the aftermath, his faithful steam-powered servant labors to bring the vision to life against opposition determined to preserve the reign of steam at all costs.
Allen and I were asked to make an opening video for the machinima festival, at the SLCC (Second Life Community Convention) 2006. The video was to be show at the gathering and simulcast in Second Life. We created sekretMenuz, a look into a "super user", who is hoisted by his own petard. This video won Best Story at the alt-zoom Take5 festival in August 2006.
The video was an excuse to make some machinima. This project took about 6 hours, and was fun to make. I shot about 4.5 min of footage and edited it to just over a minute and a half long.I went into this thinking it was one thing and it turned out to be another.

This was our first Machinima. We got inspired and entered Alt-Zoom Studios' 2005 Ed Wood Machinima Festival. The video was produced in three days, using Second Life as the engine. The video won two prizes; Worst Acting and Worst Story!Halloween 2005
Made this video for alt-zoom studios' 2006 Ed Wood Machinima Festival. Though we were given 48 hours, Allen and I made a personal goal of doing it in 24. We chose a sequel to the previous year's stinker, same avatar actors, and whatever sets we found on Second Life's Lukinida island. Had the script ready two hours after the theme was announced. A Zombie Stole My Heart won Worst Film!Halloween 2006
This was our third year to enter the Ed Wood Machinima Festival in Second Life's Alt-Zoom theater. Once the theme was announced, we had two days to complete the project. "It Came From the Origin of Where Bad Things Come From" covers experiments by Dr. Ex. This time, the atomic playboy shows us his Bikini island bungalow laboratory.Halloween 2007
