LTC has been selected as one of Community Teamwork Inc.'s (CTI) 2010 Local Heroes! Although it is the organization being named, the emphasis is on celebrating the countless hours LTC members and volunteers spend on creating local, quality programming for the Lowell community. You are the folks that go above and beyond! Nominated by Diane Bujnowski who works in the Mayor's Office, LTC is thrilled that its members are getting the spotlight. According to CTI's call for nominations, Local Heroes are recognized as those who "consistently reach beyond the ordinary levels of kindness, generosity, compassion and effort to create a better quality of life for us all." Through your efforts, LTC programming touches so many areas of community life: arts & culture, open communication, ethnic diversity, and freedom of speech. This is a very proud moment for LTC, and it truly is with thanks to all the volunteers and members.
