Marion Stoddart moved to Groton in the 1960's. At that time the Nashua River was listed as one of the 10 most polluted rivers in the country. Residents within a mile could smell the river and small animals could walk across the Nashua River. Marion Stoddart proved that with vision and commitment, an "ordinary" person can accomplish extraordinary things. The subject of a documentary film, "The Work of 1000", Marion Stoddart along with Susan Edwards, film producer, and Abigail Nehring, Communications Assistant, discuss her work and the documentary which reveals the secrets of her success and her ability to inspire change.
