The Cadillac Area YMCA broke ground on their new community center just about a year ago, and according to the organization, construction on the new facility is coming along well. The YMCA's Dillon Family Community Center will feature a six-lane pool, a wellness center containing fitness equipment, a jogging track, a teen center and many more community-oriented facilities. While the new community center may still be under construction, the YMCA is already selling memberships; they said the community support of their project has been outstanding. "Our support has been tremendous; we've got over 250 donors that have provided funds to build this.," said Chris Gentry of the Cadillac Area YMCA. "We have a lot of folks that are waiting to become members, and we're anxious to get to the point that we can start providing the services that we're building this for."
