Good Morning Lake City... it's a monthly community get-together, and it will soon be celebrating its third anniversary. Good Morning Lake City was launched on April 21, 2006 by community activist Margo Jacobs. The concept behind the event is to give anyone with a community-oriented mission a chance to share information. Over the past three years, the forum has had almost 600 speakers and over 1,200 attendees. Jacobs said she's thrilled that through rain, snow, and even blizzards, the community has come together on the third Friday of every month for the last three years to hold the forum. To celebrate, there will be a special 3rd Anniversary forum on April 17; the event will be held from 7 until 8 am at the Baked Beans coffee shop in Lake City.
