How do you know if you should elevate yourself in seated postures

Donna Roach from Facebook: How do you know when you should be using a bolster for some sitting postures? I find that for some poses if I sit on my bolster, it relaxes my lower back and hip flexors. Great question Donna. If your knees are higher than your hips, then you need to elevate your hips for sitting postures. Also it is a good idea to use elevation for seated postures if you are having a hard time getting mobility or forward movement through your pelvis in a forward fold as I demonstrate in the video. I will also demonstrate an alternative for seated meditation and a way to elevate your hips for cow’s face in this video.
