Grandmaster R B Ramesh defeated Ratnakaran in the finl round of the Parsvnath Commonwealth Chess Championship to become the NEW Commonwealth Chess Chamion. He finished with 8.5 points alongwith S S Ganguly who also finished with 8.5 points but lost to Ramesh on Progressive average.D Harika became the Women's Champion .
