STRANDED episode nine: The end of the Line

Visit my blog for more information at http://www.leonlogothetis.com/blog Why did I volunteer to be STRANDED? It has always been a rather strange obsession of mine to be stranded in the desert. However, I never could find the courage to put myself in a situation that would most probably be the end of me. Wise I hear you mutter. I have also always had a desire to act. Can’t be that difficult I kept telling myself? Well, I never mustered the courage to do that either I am afraid. Then one fine day I was watching the movie Cast away with Tom Hanks and I had a minor epiphany. Yes, epiphanies can be minor. It struck me that if I didn’t have the balls to actually strand myself in a desert (for real that is), if I could just overcome my fear of acting I could kill two birds with one stone. So. I did some soul searching and came up with a rather brilliant idea. (If I may say so myself…) That idea was: STRANDED. I was going to be completely stranded in the desert. But with a catch. It was all going to be filmed for my first (and maybe only) attempt at becoming an actor. Leon the adventurer was about to morph into Leon the actor. If I felt like I was about to die I could be saved by my soundman. If I felt like I was about to be eaten by a cayote I would scream for help and my director would scoop me up in his arms. My pride in tatters. I certainly wasn’t going to die out there. But I was going to be stranded. And I was going to act (or at least try…). My next episode of STRANDED will air TODAY. It will air every week-day on my blog,Facebook and Twitter until Friday March 30th. I hope you enjoy it*. *No Englishmen were harmed during the filming of Stranded.
