Injured Downey Movie Workers and Kaiser Workers Speak-out at Workers Memorial Day Event April 19, 2009 Downey Kaiser Hospital http://blip.tv/file/2453925 57 minutes On April 19, 2009 Downey injured movie workers and Kaiser workers as well as other injured workers in Southern California spoke out at the Downey Kaiser complex about the toxic dump site in Downey and how it is affecting workers and the community. This was the first public action by injured workers in front of the site which is being developed by Stuart Lichter of the IRG grouping. Downey Kaiser Hospital complex has been built on one of the most toxic sites in the Los Angeles area and hundreds of workers have been sickened as a a result of the failure of the developer Stuart Lichter to properly clean up the site and also the failure of Federal and state regulatory agencies to properly regulate health and safety protection along with enforcing fraud violations because of workers comp cost shifting by the developer and companies. www.workersmemorialday.org http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-ct-downey2-2009aug02,0,5980999.story http://www.salem-news.com/articles/august022009/downey_exposure_8-2-09.php http://downey.kaiserpapers.info/ http://letsintroduceourselves.us/wordpress/ http://www.workersmemorialday.org/documents/Zeltzer-Downey.htm
