About this original series

KittyKind is a not-for-profit, no-kill, all-volunteer cat rescue and adoption group. Our mission is to reduce the number of abandoned or homeless animals in New York City, by means ranging from assisting in TNR (trap-neuter-release) to rescuing cats and finding loving homes for them. Even for cats whose medical or behavioral problems make them difficult to place, KittyKind has miraculously found homes for many of them and, when that is not possible, we try to enlist our foster/sanctuary network to provide these cats with a safe, loving home for the rest of their days. Each year, KittyKind rescues over a thousand cats, and their happy endings attest to the dedication of our incredible network of compassionate, tireless volunteers, as well as the contribution of the public, in providing donations, foster homes, and, ultimate, wonderful forever homes.
