We live in a culture that worships violence. The videogames that young people play are so realistic that the brain cannot tell the difference between the game and reality. Sadly some of the players but these videogames also cannot tell the difference between the game and reality. This is a proven fact and its wide pilots train on videogames. The movies and music videos that we watch also glorified violence not only against the law enforcement agencies were against women and other minorities. It is again a culture of violence and we subject youth to this violence through the TV and through the movies. And then there are the sports we value the most, they are the most aggressive and most violent sports that we have. And beyond that again the players that we admire the most the violent ones. This is especially apparent in the game of hockey where skill takes a second place to brutality. So part of the answer is to restrict the access to guns, but the larger issue is to change the fabric of society. Once we stop worshipping violence we would see a much more peaceful life could be. Once we start to brutalisation of children filling them with anger and hate we would see much more peaceful life could be. And once we start valuing good things in life we can see a much better life would be.
