Ollie Bray’s presentation at the 2009 K-12 on-line conference on the use of commercially available computer games as a contextual hub for learning and to provide an opportunity for social interaction for children as they move between primary (elementary) school to secondary (high) school.After an initial introduction and background a detailed case study is provided of a project using the game Guitar Hero in East Lothian, Scotland. The project has since been scaled up and replicated many times globally.
