Profiles 1 v.1 Promotional spot #1 for New World Samurai/Karma Studios. Shot on location in Canmore, Alberta. Fun project to work on, being allowed to explore the inner workings of an impressive tattoo studio & gallery. The artists at NWS are awesome. Really pumped about the images I was able to create with the T-0.95 lens, beautifully shallow depth of field and soft vignette. Lit by sculpting the natural and existing lighting with an instinctive documentary approach. Thanks to Steve Cosens fo...

Pass the Cart IIA project put together by the members of the filmshooting.com forum.Consists of 5 E64t Cartridges that have toured the world. I was fortunate enough to be involved, and this is CART #2. I shot the last film with the two fellas in Toronto. Sorry for my lateness. Business, life and shooting has gotten in the way. I was really bummed about the last k40 cart getting lost and wanted to shoot something that would top my last one.. (hard one to beat, I had some great dolly shots of a ...
Recent transfer done here at Frame Discreet.Tri-x Cross processed at Niagara Custom Lab. As well as some Ektachrome 64T.I absolutely love the look of Tri-x cross processed. It creates a sharp grainy texture that almost feels like pointalism. Just gorgeous. Tri-x also gains more latitude when cross-processed giving you more detail in the highlights & shadows. Thanks to Babar Khan for shooting some great footage!

Interesting video shot by our own Michael Leblanc. Another great concept by Scotty has some dramatic slow paced wire work involved. Dreamy and wierd. Supervised color correction session held @ Frame Discreet to handle the RAW files. Slight film grain applied to help take the edge off the slick video feel. This spot is an homage to a movie named, "La Course en Tete" a documentary about the Belgian cyclist Eddy Merckx mace in 1974. In the town of Altdorf for the Tour de Suisse Time trial to Klausenpass. The race is each cyclist against the clock, it takes approx. an hour and is 25 km long from 400m above sea level to 1948m above sea level. Driving down from the mountain after the race seemed to take longer than these cyclist take to go up.25km an hour average speed, I can barely do that on my bik...
