The movies came to London 11th 12th July 2009 @ The Movieum SFX weekend came to county hall with the help from the movieum car club motion picture motors.Quite a few tourists where out for a weekend stroll around the embankment who got a pleasant surprise confronted by members of the Uk Garrison with there Imperial stormtroopers plus ghostbusters where running around looking for ectoplasm .We had a special appearance from the Starski n Hutch's zebra3 Grand Torino which keep everyone in line , plus The Blues brothers came to town in their blues mobile looking for a bit of action as did ''the Doc & Marty '' with the fantastic De Lorean 'back to the future' car.plus the good old boys in there Dodge Charger the 'General Lee' which also looked amazing as did ''the original Herbie'' from the motion picture "the love bug" the awesome Steve McQueen's Bullet Mustang turned up to set the tone ,which really got the hard core petrol heads smiling.Even 'Kitt' made the kids laugh as he started up talking to the kids with all his lights flashing with no one inside ,special guest was an original New York NYPD police car from 9.11 took to the streets of London , also Dell boy turned up in his Reliant Robin to see if he could do a bit of business ...lovely jubbly!A remote control R2D2 came out from the movieum to see what was going on then shot back inside to get some protection from the crowds & the stormtroopers outside , but the UK colonial marines in there full armour where ready for a show down with some real Aliens , Wolverine clambered over the WW2 half-track With the Phoenix which got loads of teenagers keen to have their pictures taken with them , the ''mystery machine'' was on hand to help the ghostbusters find the ghosts in county hall's chamber , all in all loads of great cars loads of nice people and loads of fun ,roll on the next one!!!The event raised lots of funds over the two days for our children's cancer charity We would just like to say thanks to everyone who made the effort to make the whole event happen , big thanks to everyone behind the scenes inc all the wonderful Movie car owners from "Motion picture motors" plus very special thanks to David Zebra3 for his help bringing not one but two wonderful movie cars to the event the Grand Torino and his Black n White police car on the day Less
