A Philadelphia based video blog with travels and sailing from Europe, Aruba, Hawaii and the Chesapeake Bay to name just a few.
I like to walk EagleBeach at sunrise when I visit Aruba before it gets real hot and I took my Sony Mini DV camera with a Rode boom mic to see what I could capture. There's a few guys that meet at sunrise everyday to workout and one of the guys likes to feed the birds. I went back the next day but my loyal 2001 camera went goofy but I was lucky enough to get shots of the first day.
I had the opportunity to go sailing on My cousin Steve "Looper" Villager's boat Hoku'ula on the North Shore of Oahu last summer with his brother Scott. I thought it would be a great idea to dedicate the sail to our late Uncle Sam who passed away a few a couple years ago. Uncle Sam was an avid sailor and racer since the mid 70's on Lake Erie sailing a 30' Tartan. I regret never having sailed with him but spent some real great quality time with him in 2004 sharing sailing stories and basketball,...
Got a quick interview with one of The Residents eyeball after their Talking Light show at World Cafe Live. During the show, Mr Skull, who is now an old man/woman told the SRO crowd that Carlos, of the four members of the band had gone to Mexico. There were only three Residents on stage, but I did catch the green eyeball roaming around the crowd afterwards. Jimmy

I take Tony and Glenn sailing to Annapolis for a night of good fun on a July summer night. We moored the boat outside the US Navel Academy for the night and took the water taxi to Pusser's, a popular spot on the water.
This winter never seems to end as an epic storm is about to clobber Maryland and threatens to dump 6-12 inches of snow on Philadelphia. What better way to celebrate by hibernating in the house and posting a video that I shot on my waterproof Santo Xacti VPE-E1 last summer. This was also my first real attempt editing iMovie 09. I've been using iMovie HD for years but finally decided the benefits of 09 outweigh my beloved HD. Still Learning Final Cut Pro. I've also joined a group of other Videob...
I recently had the opportunity to meet Steve "ESPO" Powers on the last mural he was doing for A Love Letter For You. The project was an ambitious program, funded by Pew Center for Art and Heritage with 50 murals to be painted along the western part of the Market Frankford EL running from 45th to 69th street. The last wall was atop the old WFIL Building now on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. This historic building hosted the original Bandstand with Dick Clark, later named America...
Dog Walk is my contribution to NaVloPoMo The idea is to do a video that was inspired by the previous days video. I followed Cheryl Colan and was inspired by her use of windows, leaves and a morning face. This inspired me to imagine waking up to the big trees outside my bay windows and needing to take the dog out. Go figure. This was a great test for me as it really set into gears the task of quick script writitng, shooting, editing and my limited HTML all within a few hours to keep the game go...
