After a while of relaxing in hammocks and playing in the surf we decided to go get our snorkel gear and dive in. They gave us our stuff, and showed us how to use it. Neither of us had really snorkeled much before, and I knew it was going to be amazing, but it was even better than I had imagined. There were fish everywhere! Sergeant Majors & Yellowtail Snappers were in abundance, as well as needlefish and several other bright colorful ones I couldn't name. And on top of that, the water was so crystal clear it felt like you were floating through the sky! It was the definite highlight of the trip. There was a sunken shipwreck and also a sunken plane wreck that we swam to. The fish were the size of two dinner plates (or bigger) and kept running into us! They were not afraid of humans in the least! At one point I turned on the video on my camera and started swimming really fast towards a school of fish, thinking they'd scatter and it would look really cool. But they didn't. I ended up running face-first into the bodies of several fish. I let out a girly scream and then laughed through my snorkel tube. :) I think we could have snorkeled all day, we didn't want to stop!
