My take on creating a video within the Lumiere ruleset was focused on disrupting empty spaces. One of the things I find most interesting about the project’s manifesto is to do with finding unexpected moments in day to day life. In relation to that, the idea that the best camera is the one you always have on you is very applicable. With that in mind, I decided to use my iPhone for all of the filming. The interest in disrupting empty spaces comes from the fact that it is much harder to anticipate these moments when there aren’t as many clues around.
