24-29 JULY 2007 Maratea, Italythe feminine side of cinema (and much more!)On the background of the enchanting coast of Maratea, the third edition of IO ISABELLA INTERNATIONAL FILM WEEK opens its doors. A new Film Festival, unique in the South of Italy (1 part event, 2 parts festival, 1 part Fiesta!) which, drawing inspiration from the life of Italian Renaissance poetess Isabella Morra, will engage into Cinematic excursions and pleasure trips. Under a bewildering blanket of sky, among the colours and flavours of a beautiful and mysterious corner of the Italian Land, we'll screen a serie of International Films and Documentaries of all lengths and formats.The Festival focuses on Women and Documentary. Besides the Competition and the Documentary programmes, we'll feature LATIN AMERICA as our 2007 Country in Focus. As for the satellite programmes, our 2007 weak-spot goes for the themes of RELIGION, ENVIRONMENT, MUSIC and SPORT.
