Global press freedom declined for a seventh straight year in 2008, with deterioration seen for the first time in every region, according to a new report from Freedom House. Findings from Freedom of the Press were revealed in front of the organization's Map of Press Freedom at the Newseum in Washington May 1 in advance of World Press Freedom Day.
