Frank Mackaman is Executive Director of the Dirksen Congressional Center, a not-for-profit, non-partisan, educational enterprise devoted to the study of Congress and its leaders. He is also Adjunct Professor of Political Science at Bradley University. From 1987-1995, Mackaman served first as Deputy Director and then as Director of the Gerald R. Ford Library and Museum. He was also Professor of History and Visiting Lecturer in Political Science at the University of Michigan where he taught courses on White House operations, presidential character and presidential campaigns. In addition to other community and professional positions, he currently serves as a member of the congressionally-chartered U.S. Department of State's Advisory Committee on Historical Diplomatic Documentation.
