New Yorkers came out in throngs on the morning of Friday Nov. 6 2009 to celebrate the first Yankees World Series title since 2000. Alcohol was flowing and sounds of the parade were occasionally drowned out by happy screams of fans. Not even the police could contain the crowd's enthusiasm as one of their barricades got pulled down by a fans eager to see their favorite players. By Maria Miranda and Jessica Courtemanche
