Porsche has applied its latest hybrid technology to create a spectacular all-wheel-drive racing car, the Porsche 911 GT3 R Hybrid.
The SR1 is powered by Peugeot's new Hybrid4 technology, making a combined 313 horsepower from a 218-hp 1.6-liter turbodiesel engine paired with a 95-hp rear-mounted electric motor. The all-wheel-drive hybrid system is intended to be rolled out on a production model next year, in the 3008 crossover, Peugeot says. Combined fuel economy on the SR1 is 48 miles per gallon, and the concept has a reported top speed of 155 mph and a 0-60-mph time of less than 4.7 seconds.
