Livestock Fish Mega Program needs to get beyond the professionals

Reflecting on the recent CGIAR Livestock Fish Mega Program consultation meeting, Peter Mwakabwale from Heifer Project International in Tanzania was impressed by the participatory format of the stakeholder meeting. He cautioned that further efforts are needed to ensure that local communities are also fully engaged. He was speaking in the margins of the CGIAR Livestock Fish Mega Program stakeholder consultation meeting in Addis Ababa, 24 and 25 August 2010.
