Faridodin "Fredi" Lajvardi Biography Mr. Lajvardi has been teaching at Carl Hayden H.S. for 21 years where the robotics team has won many national robotics competitions. Dr. Cameron has been teacing for 30 years and partnered with Mr. Lajvardi to create a robotics team dyansty that has been featured in Wired magazine and ABC Nightline. Both gentlemen have been recognized as IEEE educators of the year. Description Creating a Robotics team has revolutionized S.T.E.M. education at Carl Hayden h.s., and it has dramatically increased the number of students going into engineering and technical fields at Arizona State University. The team has spawned many other teams in AZ and they are experienceing similar results. The two gentlemen believe that every H.S. should have a team to help reverse the science, math and technology deficit that exists in Arizona today by showing the youth of today how hard work and determination in S.T.E.M. fields can be fun, exciting and rewarding.
