I record EEG ( brainwaves ) of people doing their specialist acitivity.... here are some examples using bluetooth portable IBVA brainwave monitor to detect and analyse...
IBVA demo showing changes in Hertz on x axis into Alpha EEG and amplitude on the Y axis as the session varies, playback in realtime. The time line is navigated using the Control panel to jump ahead, and the angle of the EEG analysis is rotated by hand to zoom on areas of change.Further information and consultancy available by request to IBVA UK.
Rare footage of Timothy Leary in early 1990s exploring an 'IBVA' brainwave monitor ( worn on the back of his head ) measuring his EEG via electrodes inside the blue headband across his forehead. The sounds are triggered by changes in his concentration as he interrogates the system on an Apple computer. IBVA is a portable brainwave monitor supplied internationally by IBVA UK ; for more information please visit www.ibva.co.uk
A short clip of a dream machine spinning on a valve record deck turntable, to provide the correct speed (rpm) for the Alpha wave inducing pattern to take effect.
2 channels of Brian Barrit's EEG are visualised using an IBVA brainwave monitor worn during this session recording from his frontal lobes. Often an entrainment of 'Brain Peak' spheres around the Theta and Alpha wave threshold of 7-8Hertz can be observed. The x-axis on currently shows 0-12Hertz for the left and right, the Alpha threshold is 8-12hz and often clusters of peaks in alignment are noticeable between Theta and Alpha for both sides. We recorded 27 minutes of EEG to create a new dream m...
Brian Barrit has his brainwaves measured by luciana with an IBVA monitor whilst experiencing the Alpha wave inducing Dream Machine stroboscopic entrainment
Kasi in Kalani - look out at around 1hour 25 mins for big REM and delta cycles to show up = the control panel floats up under the 3D waterfall of her EEG after a few minutes showing the real time elapsed. Ive videoed the IBVA EEG at x20 speed to show 3hrs 39mins playback in 11mins 06 seconds.... more at www.ibva.co.uk
in this clip Mike is wearing IBVA EEG monitor, his left and right hemisphere's EEG is projected behind him - you can see a lot of rhythmic eye and activity when he plucks or taps the violin at the start, his right side also shows more activity in general, there is no Beta ( concentration ) waves,, so he looks like he's done this before ! Most the spikes and peaks are Theta and before. In the second movement he uses pedals for delay and echo - so you see even more calm as he makes his own tempo ...
I met Tom in Brighton - Brainstock's first rapper, and intial time he's been wired into the IBVA brainwave monitor - he rapped about the technology and his live response included "lookin at my Spikey-Psych-ee"..
Nick's wearing the IBVA brainwave monitor, he's scratching onthe decksYou can see his left and right frontal brain's hemispheres projected on the wall behing Mike who is improvising live on violin.we swap the EEG monitor over afterwards and record Mike's EEG
