He uses virtual worlds as a platform to create cultural and educational projects, and to make machinima movies. He is the coordinator of the project of the Presidency of the Portuguese Republic in virtual worlds, and in the past coordinated the first live transmission from the European Parliament to a virtual world. He directed and produced the first machinima show made in a Portuguese National Television. His machinima short film “The Labyrinth” was nominated for best short digital film in the International Film Festival Festroia, and the machinima short film “Beyond Magic” was awarded with the best movie in rezzable machinima festival. Recently he founded a new media company and is the president of ACCV ( http://www.accvirtual.net ), a nonprofit organization that promotes the Portuguese culture in Virtual Worlds and Web Platforms. In his machinima projects, he already worked for the Presidency of the Portuguese Republic, SIC, TedxEdges, HP, World Press Cartoon, Portuguese Government, CTT…. His focus is to use multimedia, traditional and machinima filmmaking in educational, social and humanitarian projects, and to enhance the use of web platforms for collaborative work.
