Scenes from the Obon ceremony and bon dance at Waipahu Soto Zen Taiyoji in Hawaii. Filmed with the Flip Video from Pure Digital, an inexpensive, flash-memory based video camera with four buttons, a four-way rocker, and a built-in USB plug. Video clips were edited together with the provided "Movie Mix" software (Windows only). The recorded videos are MPEG-4 AVI and the Mac support is limited (you need a 3ivx codec and are told to run QuickTime in Rosetta on Intel machines), but otherwise it's a great little gadget for the YouTube generation. This movie was converted from MPEG-4 AVI to iPod-optimized H.264 with iSquint.
