Matt Hill leads this blues Quartet. This is part 2 of maybe 3. Max is in the truest sense a professional musician. With his successful band Arhooly, he did shows for 15 years with Blues greats like B.B. King, Robert Cray, Lightnin' Hopkins, Carey Bell, and Freddy King. The list is too long so will just stop there. Max just recently finished a four year stint as the lead guitar player for Big Bill Morganfield's band ( son of Muddy Waters ). As well as playin with The Buzzkills Max is currently playing with Cajun Blues master Mel Melton. Like our good friend Bob Margolin, Max is an encyclopedia of Blues guitar, and has been gracious enough to help lead me down the right path. In just the last couple of years he has turned me on to all sorts of influences that have really shaped my playing and musicianship. "Krookshank" as some of us like to call him is a true character. Not only is his guitar playing outstanding but so is his personality. Me being the character that I am encourage it and love to let Max loose which can never be a bad thing. His intensity is incredible, it makes people go crazy on a regular basis. Max has been a great "partner and crime" the last couple of years and people run for cover whenever "Crookshank" and "Knuckles" walk into a room. You never know what kind of madness will ensue. Krookshank enjoys long rides on his trusty Kraftsman lawn mower, the soothing sounds of Lightnin' Hopkins, Marlboro Mediums, and WWII era firearms. -- matthillblues.com
