The Rotunda is the only surviving building that made up of the Prince's Lodge estate. While Prince Edward (Duke of Kent) was stationed as Commandant of the British Forces in Halifax (1793 - 1800), he and his mistress, Julie St. Laurent spent some time at Prince's Lodge. The Rotunda is one of many buildings designed by the Duke of Kent (including St. George's Round Church). Many musical performances have been organized around this building. Music: "Feather Waltz" by Kevin Macleod. http://www.incompetech.com Less
